CHARM is a revolutionary coral husbandry technology, designed to restore coral reefs at scale. Its ability to manage and maintain coral makes it an ideal method to crowd-source the restoration of our Great Barrier Reef. Through a combination of CO2 laser engraving techniques and machine vision, CHARM can identify any ceramic plug with its coral and corresponding sponsor. As the coral grows over a period of 6 months, the sponsor will receive updates and an application to interface with the coral like a virtual pet.
